This California girl, who confesses to longing to click her heels on her beloved New York City sidewalks, has come to appreciate the vitality and versatility of her adopted city, Houston.

Houston’s versatility extends from the fabulous mix of a multitude of cultures and their tantalizing cuisine, to the visual transformation that one-half hour and a short drive can create.

For instance, a morning walk might reveal the mysteries of the bayou captured in these photos, while an afternoon might uncover gorgeous views of the surf at the Gulf of Mexico, and evening might be capped with a stunning view of Houston’s iconic skyline, all glass and gleam.
